History

The Grand Falloons are an ensemble of theater, circus, and design professionals who came together to create educational and thematic theatrics for museums, schools, and theaters across the United States. The Falloons started in the early 1990s with a series of works commissioned by the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia. They asked us to create theatrical events introducing underserved audiences, especially children, to works in the museum. Our work there was based on exhibits as diverse as Cèzanne's Effect on the Academic Nature of American Art in the 1920s to The Artistic Sublime of the Catskill School.

We continue to produce works in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Academy as well as with the Jewish Museum, the Rhode Island School of Design, the Brooklyn Children's Museum, The Philadelphia Children's Festival and other not-for-profit organizations. We have also produced original curriculum programs for public schools in New York and New Jersey. See our list of past and continuing productions. All Grand Falloons programs are designed to be not only accessible but also exhilarating for families and underserved audiences.

Our work has since expanded into many worlds. In the past few years, with our plethora of contacts in the circus and vaudeville community, we have expanded into performance and consultation for corporate events and for national television commercials and two new theatrical works in development for a commercial run. See all the pages on the Grand Falloon web site and consider the possibilities.
